The series "synthetic gardens" is a subtle attempt to remind people to deal with the environment irresponsibly, without making moral accusations, but trying to display a well-known problem so differently that it does not become one of the many annoying things that apparently cannot be changed anyway. The pictures are photograms that were created by exposing “plastic negatives”. Those negatives were created out of plastic waste, such as garbage bags, cling film or dental floss, which transformed into luminescent sea creatures. At the same time, the series pays homage to Anna Atkins, who was the first female photographer to recognize the simple beauty of the smallest life forms such as algae and moss and to immortalize it through cyanotopia.
